Chapter 1-3 The Only Fish in the Sea.

Trevor thought about Casseil every day since he met her at the Rattlesnake Juice Bar. She had called him a couple of times and he called her, they really seemed to hit it off. One evening he got a call, she wanted to know if she could stop by on her way home. He was thrilled.

Cassiel was in a flirty mood the moment she showed up. Trevor was ecstatic, but not quite sure how to react. Not that he didn’t like her, he did. He was just still so worried about coming on too strong, and scaring her away. After all he was big and green, and didn’t feel entirely human, what if she decided he was some creepy perv? Little did he know she was tired of him dragging his feet and was here to get things in motion. She wasn't getting any younger, with 13 days until her elder birthday she didn't want to delay. If there was a chance he wasn't the one she needed to know so she could move on before it was too late. But she was pretty sure he was the one.

They talked and flirted for hours, and Trevor began to relax and enjoy her company. Still too scared to ask her what he really wanted to ask her, he asked Casseil to move in with him instead. She told him that she would love to! In fact she had just turned her place over to new townies and was temporarily homeless at the moment.

Soon after she moved in Casseil surprised Trevor with a kiss. Casseil giggled, “I’m sorry, that was a bit forward of me, but I just feel a connection with you.” Trevor got himself together and smiled at her, “Not at all, I like it! I don’t have much experience with women, and I ..er.. wasn’t sure if you wanted me to kiss you, but I sure wanted to kiss you.”

“I hear you’ve been asking about me, otherwise I wouldn’t have had the courage, I think we like each other and would hate for us to waste time worrying how the other felt.” Casseil said.
“Casseil, I’m glad you told me that. It gives me the courage to ask. Would you do me the honor and be my girlfriend?”
The rest of the evening was a bit of a blur, Trevor was so tired from the day’s work that he can’t remember much else.

The next morning Trevor had the day off and thought a proper date was in order. He knew there was a spark between him and Casseil, but he also wanted to do things right. Jumping into marriage wasn’t really a bad thing, but he didn’t want her to think she was drug into it without having a change to say no. They went back to the juice bar. “How about we sit here, I know how much you like the outdoors. You’ll be happier out here.” Casseil said thoughtfully. Trevor sighed, “Cass you seem to just get me! I would much rather sit outside than go in”

Trever blew her a kiss, he was so happy with how she just seemed to know what he wanted before he did. It wasn’t long before Casseil was in a flirty mood. She was determined to get Trevor in a flirty mood too. He needed to lighten up a bit and let life take him for a ride. She sensed he was always under a shadow, one that he himself couldn’t really explain, and she was determined to help him see the good in life instead.

They soon were cuddling, holding hands, and Trevor forgot they weren’t the only two people on the planet. He wanted to get to know her, really get to know her, and started some deep conversations. “Cass, tell me more about you. I know you like fishing, and I like fishing, but what do you really like and what do you want out of life?”

“Well, fishing is just kind of something that I learned to do and was good at. I guess I started fishing with my father, and well it’s a way for me to stay close to him now that he is gone. Fishing for me is more inspirational. Landscapes, colors, the shimmer of a fish in the water, the ripple of a wave. The contrast of land and water. For me it’s like a wonderful work of art. That is my true passion, Art.”
“I don’t know when I learned to fish, but it’s something I’m drawn to it, like it’s a part of me. Being outside is as necessary as breathing. I feel stuffy and shut up if I stay inside too long.” Trevor told her.
“I feel that way if I can’t break out and get silly. Life is too short to be serious all the time. Not too many people understand that telling jokes and having fun can be freeing. I guess I’m a bit of a goofball” Said Casseil.

They moved their date inside and had a few drinks. The more he learned of her the more he knew he loved her. With each passing minute Trever loved her all the more, she was just a breath of fresh air to his stuffy, gloomy nature. She loved a good joke, had a lovely personality and they loved all the same Sci-Fi moves. He’d officially died and gone to heaven. She was a geeky, goofball that loved art. The icing on the cake was she wanted to have a successful lineage, which meant kids and a happy thriving family. She was definitely meant to be his partner in his quest. Everything about her was perfect! He had made the catch of a lifetime, there was no other fish in the sea that would be as perfect for him as she.
