Chapter 1-2 Fishing and Chips

With the day beginning and still no plumbing, Trevor jogged over to the gym for a shower and a bit of relief.

On his way he heard a waterfall. Deciding to hold off on the shower and headed towards the water. Anxious to try his luck at fishing, he’s sure he will be a natural. Plus, he’s secretly hoping that red-haired beauty will be fishing nearby.

The view is breathtaking. Who knew a dessert could be so beautiful? Trevor closed his eyes and breathed it all in. The sound of the water, the smell of the cool moisture in the air, the wind blowing across his face. With a sigh he opens his eyes and soaks in the rainbow. Certain that it is a sign of good things to come he heads to the water.

“Wow, how did I get this cool collapsible fishing rod? Did I have this the whole time? Wonder what else I have magically stashed in my pockets.” Trevor casts out, confident that with the fish jumping he will have caught his limit in no time at all.
The first few get away and Trevor is about to give up fishing for good.

A new determination hits him and he casts one more time. The line whizzes out as a fish grabs the lure. As he pules back his rod bends and he is sure he’s caught a monster! Success!
Though the fish is much smaller than he expected, his love for fishing has been renewed.
I could do this all day, but I think a shower is in order.

He walks across the road and heads to the gym, his original destination. The water feels good and he was sure glad he wasn’t all smelly when Molly wandered up to chat with him. She really is a nice gal, and Trevor starts asking her about her interests. “Speaking of interests, my roommate said you were asking about a gal named waders? Or a gal in waders? Anyway, after she got over herself and her issue of you not being into her, she thought you guys would be perfect for each other.” Feeling a bit sheepish Trevor says, “Oh, well, I really wanted to talk about fishing, that is to say, I’m not sure where the best spots are, or even if I’m using the right bait. You wouldn’t happen to know here would you?”

“No, I’ve not met her, but about this time of evening I’ve seen her over at Rattlesnake Juice Bar. Why don’t we go see if she is there? I’ll stick around to help if things get awkward.” Molly said. “C’mon, you know and I know that you need to meet her. This is a legacy after all, you need to meet any and all prospective spouses.”
“Wow Molly, that sure is nice of you. You are right I’m kind of interested in her, you aren’t offended are you?”
“Don’t fret about it, I know you and I don’t have that spark. Let’s go see if you and Red do. Plus I really want to get away from Eliza, she really creeps me out!”

The juice bar was pretty busy. Molly took a seat at the bar. Trevor grabbed some chips and sat at a table. He hadn’t been able to sell the few collectables he had found near his home and couldn’t afford to even buy a drink until he did.

“How are the chips? Are they stale? The chips are often stale here, but when they are fresh they sure taste great after a day of fishing”

Trevor thought his heart stopped beating! She’s here! And she’s speaking to ME! Trying not to choke on the chip in his mouth Trevor swallowed and smiled. “They aren’t fresh but they aren’t too stale yet. I’d guess they were yesterday’s chips. And your right about fish and chips, doesn’t get any better than that.”

He learns that her name is Cassiel Vogel. At first it seems like things are going well. They chat about fishing, but Cassiel is tired and doesn’t stay long. Trevor sat wondering if he said something he shouldn’t have. Or worse, didn’t say something he should have! He decides to call it a night. Says goodbye to his new friend Molly Legacy, and meets the collector to sell his stuff. He needs a good night’s sleep because his new job starts tomorrow. He’s chosen to go into the writing profession because all the sims he’s met have seemed captivated by his stories.
